About

Why we built Ariya.

Owner-led teams deserve real HR, not a lighter version. Senior advisors on your file, automation underneath, priced for a lean team.

The thesis

HR is a people problem, not a software problem.

The industry tried to solve HR by selling dashboards. That works if you already have an HR team. If you don't, a dashboard is just one more tab you don't have time to open.

Ariya goes the other direction: a named advisor on your file, with tracking, checks, filings, and drafts running underneath on purpose, so the calendar stays in front. The stack stays quiet. The person is the product.

Who you'll work with

Meet Duane.

Duane Singh

Founder · Head of HR and payroll

Duane is a Bay Area native and career HR professional. Eight years running HCM operations at a boutique firm, then a decade in HCM sales at a major provider, rising to Director over a team of 100. Twenty years inside the systems, service cycles, and conversations small businesses actually live through.

At Ariya, he builds and trains the advisor bench, sets the quality bar, and shows up when a situation needs a senior voice in the room. He believes HR done right is a quiet craft. When you don't notice it, that's the work succeeding.

How we show up

Four principles we don't negotiate on.

01

Calm by default.

We don't say "urgent" unless it is. We don't invent fire drills to look busy. A quiet week means we did our jobs.

02

Honest when we miss.

If we catch something late, we say so. Then the fix. Then what we're changing so it doesn't happen again. No burying.

03

Specific, not general.

"Three of your people are affected" beats "multiple employees may be impacted." You should know the scope before your second coffee.

04

A decision, not a menu.

We come in with a recommendation. You can still overrule it, but you shouldn't have to pick from a list of options we haven't weighed ourselves.

No SDR. No form. Twenty minutes with Duane, and an honest answer on whether we're the right partner for where you are.
